Dove Go Fresh - Energize —

Okay, I had this item on my list of things to review and then I saw Lauriem's review on a similar product, different scent so that was my incentive to post mine.

I first used the bath soap this summer and I loved it!  A few weeks ago I was shopping with my sister and I saw the body wash.  I thought that since I loved the bath soap and I needed to stock up on some more inexpensive shower gels I would get this one.  I got a 24 fl. Oz. bottle for $3.50 at Wal-Mart.  That's a really good deal considering we pay about $7-9 for smaller bottles at B&BW.

I got the energize scent in a yellow bottle.  This specific scent has grapefruit and lemongrass (whatever that is) in it.  When you pop the lid open it's almost as if you can smell a grapefruit being sliced or liquid sunshine pouring out of the heavens.  I have the bottle in front of me and I keep sniffing it.  Yes, it smells that good.  This body wash has a hydrating lotion in it, which is good for someone like me who has very dry skin.

There is one feature that either attracts you or deters you from this product.  The bottle says it has "invigorating beads that act as little wake-up calls for your skin."  These little beads when applied to your skin feel like small grains of sand rubbing against your body.  My sister-in-law, Amy, said there is no way she would use a soap or body wash with these granules because she believes they will irritate your patooty.  Well, I am the queen of sensitive skin and allergies and it hasn't done any harm to me.  I use this body wash with a pouf ball and I can feel the granules as I clean myself and it's like a full body exfoliating process.

Ladies, you know how it feels to put an exfoliating face mask on.  You can feel the granules as they go deeper into your skin and you know that when you rinse your face it is going to have a smoother and more refreshed feel and look.   Well, that is how I feel when I use this.  It's as if I have rid my pores of all the yucky stuff that would clog them throughout the day (makeup, dust, fibers from clothing, and so forth).  When you finish bathing you can see all the granules floating around in your water so you know it got the job done!

This body wash will rejuvenate you.  Now that probably isn't a good thing for me because I take my baths at night and the last thing I need is to be rejuvenated before bed time!  I love it when you take a bath and the smell of your beauty/bathing products lingers.  Well, it will linger for a while in the bathroom but it's not as strong as Sensual Amber by B&BW--now that scent lingers.  However, the Dove body wash will linger on your skin for a while and it will permeate your clothes so that you have a nice and clean smell for a while longer.

If you want the ingredients I'm sure you can find them at dove.com

I quit using this for a while when I got hooked on the Dial Yogurt Vanilla and Honey Bodywash but then the other day I ran out of the Dial and picked up my Dove again. I forgot how much I loved it when I first fell in love with it. I will give you one warning: B/C it has the exfoliating beads I would use caution using it after shaving. It stings the legs and bikini zone something fierce but I still do it anyway! Ouch! ~Gigi

Love the detail! Thanks so much, I am going to buy some this weekend and give it a go since spring is here!

I say let's try this! I'm always getting real expensive shower products from Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works. This sounds like a wonderful product, cheap and elegant. I'll put it on my shopping list and hope that between Shelton, the Nanny, and myself that we remember to get it! ~Anna

It's absolutely divine and cheaper than the ones I use from Bath and Body Works.
