Not perfect-- but the best lotion self tanner out there.
troubled by acne, budget conscious, fun loving, into trying new things

I'm really really pale, and over the summer, I wanted a tan. I don't tan naturally, I just BURN. So, I thought my best option would be a self tanning lotion. I've tried what seems like thousands of different kinds, and this is my number one choice.

No self tanner is going to work that well if you don't give it time, and avoid shaving/exfoliating after the tanning lotion regimen has started. This lotion didn't get streaky on me until I stopped using it, and then it was a slow 2 weeks of less than beautiful legs.

However, I'd still recommend this to anyone who wants a tan via lotion. It's the closest...

Dove Energy Glow is the best self tanner that I have tried, and I have tried a lot of them. It does not streak at all, if you don't wash your hands afterwards it barely leaves a mark on them. The tan is gradual and but noticable in a day or two. If you put it on everyday you will be a nice brown, not orange. It works as a moisturizer too, but I also use a sunscreen moisturizer afterwards. It also works great to fill in natural tan lines. Another positive about this self tanner is that it is inexpensive. I love it.
