My stay at the Double-Tree Hotel Crystal City, DC was terrific. The room was extremely large with 2 full beds, 3 chairs, a sofa, and a desk.The bathroom/vanity area was marvelous with the size. Plenty of room for 2 to 4 people even though I was the only one. If I had to critique the vanity area I would say that the lighting could have been better. I realize they are trying to conserve on energy, but I needed more light to put on my make-up properly. There was a tremendous amount of noise on Friday in the hallway with a grtoup of students coming in from Illinois, but after 2 of us (myself and the person in the next room) called the CARE number, they sent people up and it all settled down. Perhaps they should try to keep class groups off floors where they place regular clients.

Shopping: Short Walk, Wow, lots of areas to shop, but some extremely expensive stores. All nearby. Also there's a COSTCO about 3 blocks away for any necessities and Crystal City Shops are about 3 blocks in the other direction for great goodies (snacks).
