The Doubletree Hotel in Crystal city is convenient and that is what you are paying for...the convenince to the airport, highmays, metro and restaurants. I thought the place needs a new look and cleaning but it is adequate. Two hotel clerks handling check in and out is frustrating if you are in a rush. Try to deal with the automatic checkout process...much quicker. It is a great hotel for all the other options and if you like to run or walk the trail is nearby. I would consider the other hotels in Crystal City though for a reasonable room rate.

Dining: Short Walk, Loads of mall like restaurants nearby, along with shopping and all. It is your basic Americana style dining and shopping stuff but it is convenient
