We chose this Doubletree Hotel to stay in on our recent vacation to VT and it was a bad choice. I have stayed at Doubletree Hotels before but this one was not up to the standard (or the $140/night charge). The matress was very springy (either old or cheap) and I could feel the cheap material of the mattress through the thin sheets (ever hear of a mattress pad). The hair dryer was a joke - kept in a tiny bag under the counter - it was so small and only 1500 watts - not up to date with the new ionic hair dryers - too me twice as long to get my hair dried - wish I would have brought mine from home and saved myself the aggravation. I guess I had high expectation from my previous good experiences with Doubletree's - and now they only give you 1 cookie per person at check in - they used to give you a cokkie everyday you stayed - no more I guess the 30 cents for a cookie a day is too much for their $140/night charge - we will never stay there again. It was a nice area but ther is a Holiday Inn right across the street that will get my business!
