If you are looking for a movie that was not really in the main stream, but is filled with steamy passionate scenes, and a twisty plot line then do I have a movie for you.

Dot the eye focuses on Carmen (Natasha Verbeke).  Carmen has recently gotten engaged to Barnaby (James D'Arcy). One night when she is out with a bunch of girls having a Hen Party (which is like an American Bachelorette party), she is told that it is a tradition in the restaurant that they are dining in for the bride to pick a man in the restaurant to share her last kiss as a single woman with.

She searches about the bar and chooses Kit (Gael Garcia Bernal) a handsome man and he readily agrees to kiss her. The kiss goes on way too long for someone who is about to marry someone else, not that it is right to be kissing someone else before you get married. The kiss makes Carmen think that she is possibly not quite ready for marriage, as the kiss with Kit has brought out a passion in her that she just does not have for her fiancée Barnaby.

Barnaby is a nice guy and all, and he seems to really care about her, and can also give her anything she wants, but she still chooses to work. She also has some demons from her past that she fears may be catching up to her.

When Kit pursues Carmen, she finds herself drawn to him, but she is still committed to marrying Barnaby who she feels is a good man. Carmen finds herself tormented for her passion for Kit, and her loyalty towards Barnaby.

Barnaby just may have a few secrets up his sleeve too however. All three of the characters in this love triangle have a secret or two, and each will be revealed in time.

The movie definitely has some interesting twists to it. But there are some flashes and parts at the movie that are kind of confusing at first, but if you just keep watching all will become clear towards the end of the movie.

The movie is directed by, Mathew Parkhill, and while reading the back cover may lead you to believe that the movie has twists throughout it does not. Sure there are plenty of twists but you must wait for them, then they start coming at you like a mountain road. In other words the movie starts up kind of slow and builds.

This movie would not be acceptable for children of any age as there is sexual content. The movie has some steamy scenes.

This is not a movie for chilldren of any age due to the sexual content and adult theme.

At first glance the movie was a little slow getting going.  But once the plot twists starting hitting it got pretty good.  This is a B movie, but as B movies go it is not a bad one.  I would have been disappointed had I paid movie theater prices but for a movie to watch on your own DVD player at home while laying on the couch it is not bad.
