Most HelpfulI bought one of these Walmart toddler beds three years ago when my oldest son was still a toddler. I was originally excited to have a little "wood" bed for him rather than a cheap plastic one. Instead, I found that, because he like to jump on the bed and climb over the guard rails, he snapped a guard...
review »We moved our twins into these beds out of necessity (relocated from out of the country) at 2 years old. I wasn't sure about how they'd handle moving out of their cribs, but the two side rails helped, the kids seemed to treat the uper part of the bed like their cribs (at times scrunching up into that area). After a little while they stretched out and treat the bed as their space.
It's low enough to make it easy for them to climb in and out. The side rails give them (and us) security. A standard crib mattress fits the bed so it's easy to go from crib to this bed.
Assembly was easy -...
review »I bought this toddler bed when my husband and I finally decided that it was time to move our 20 month old out of the crib. we were expecting and needed the crib for our new addition to our family. Of course I was skeptical at first, what kind of bed would I get for such a low price. My husband is all about cheap, cheap, cheap. AM more about quality. Needless to say with this Dorel Walmart toddler Bed I got what I wanted at a very affordable price of $57.62. It is easy to assemble, and dependable (it wont break apart whenever your child goes threw those terrible twos). Plus it made the transaction...
review »I was so excited to be able to buy my son a real wood bed and not a plastic bed and the cost of this new one was cheaper than what some folks wanted on craigslist for a used one so thought we would try it.
I am very glad we did! It has held up very well for us and he just loves his bed. It can support my weight as well if I lay with him for a book or to tuck him in.
A couple issues you should be aware of though- It is VERY VERY VERY difficult to put together. Some of our bottom pieces were warped so getting them all in the channel and lined up to put the other side on took 3 of us and many...
review »I decided on this bed mostly because of the cost-$55 at Walmart and partly because it's made of wood and not plastic. I read alot of the reviews before I made my final decision to buy. The reviews were right the thing is easy to put together except for the slats on the headboard and footboard. What a pain! You put half of them in and the other half falls out. But I got it. So far the bed is working out pretty well. Altough my daughter gets up in the middle of the night and keeps coming into our room. She loves going to bed in her big girl bed but doesn't seem to want to stay! ...
review »We boght the Dorel Toddler Bed for my daughter at Wal-Mart. It is not the Cherry color, but rather the lighter color wood. It is very sturdy and was simple to put together. My only complaint is that the one screw seems to come loose fairly easily and often. Has held up well otherwise!
