The Dorel Home Furnishings Black Media Stand Dresser can be purchased at a very reasonable price and seems a bit more solid than I had first expected it to be. It is at a good distance away from the floor but it's not so high that it makes viewing television in comfort difficult. I don't believe it would work very well for clothing storage but serves great for media storage - DVD's, video games and CD's. The carved in holes toward the back wall of the dresser are great for sliding cords through and it seems to help on ensuring they stay untangled or at least easier to manage. It's really great for a t.v. that's connected to a DVR and a game system. One thing that's really important to know is that this Media Stand is not meant to hold a CRT type of television. Also, the instructions to complete construction are very elusive but with a bit of hard work and concentration it isn't really a huge deal.

This dresser is a dual purpose piece of furniture. It has a lot of details and someone put some thought into the design of it. The dark color goes well with nearly any color room and it has been in my blue guest bedroom, and my peach colored guest bedroom and looks great against the walls. I will say it does look best with a lighter to medium tone wall but works well anywhere. The dresser is kind of medium sized, about the size you would expect to see in a guest room. It has four drawers available so that guest will have space to separate undergarments, shirts, pants, and other items. The top of the dresser has a nice flat surface for putting a television on. The dresser is truly designed as a dual purpose piece of furniture. It has a small section underneath the top part and above the drawers. This small section is nice because I can put electronics here. I currently have an Xbox hooked up underneath here and it provides enough space for the console (although just barely) and a controller and a few games. It has side ports for putting miscellaneous items. The stand also has holes in the back of the dresser for the cords to escape through. This is particularly useful so that when my guests or myself are using the dresser, the cords to the television and Xbox are not getting tangled inside the dresser. This has a well thought out design. I only wish it had another level of shelving available for a few more games and another system or a side section available to store games.

My boyfriend and I moved into an apartment together, and while I had furniture that fit into the space just fine, he did not. So since I already had a dresser, we looked for a dresser that would work for him. This was the perfect solution. It allows us to have a place to put the tv in the bedroom, without having yet another piece of furniture in what was becoming a crowded bedroom very quickly. The cutouts allow us to put our electronics like blue ray player and gaming system in the compartments below the tv. They are still easily accessible, but also neat and out of the way. We also really like the dark rich wood look that it has. It goes really well with the rest of our furniture, even though it was a completely separate purchase and piece. The price was reasonable, which was also perfect for two people on tight budgets who just spent a lot of money moving. We haven't owned it for very long, but so far we are quite happy with it.
