Dooney & Bourke It Bag Review

Dooney & Burke White IT purse. Don't waste your time buying a Dooney & Burke Purse. They don't stand behind their products. I called their customer service department because my purse started turning yellow around the seams & at the sides of the purse. The representative I spoke to told me to mail the purse back to their Repair & Inspection Deptartment and then that department will look at the purse to see if it could be repaired or if it couldn't be repaired. Either way the repair department will send me a letter letting me know what they are offering me or if the purse could be repaired. What the customer service department failed to tell me was that if the purse could not be repaired then they will only offer you half of what you paid for the purse & that they only warranty their product for a year. I paid $145.00 for the purse and all they offered me was $72.50 to put towards another purse that cost $145.00 or more. The letter also said that I would be responsible for another $7.50 for the shipping of the new purse. It already cost me $13.60 to send my purse back to them insured mail, now I would have to pay for the shipping of the new purse as well. I sent the purse back to them because it is clearly defective because its turning yellow, it's not like I sent the purse back to them because I was tired of it and just wanted a new purse. I believe a company should stand behind their product even if its after the 1 year warranty especially when its clearly defective. Even after speaking with a Supervisor all they were offering me was the original offer of $72.50 plus shipping for the new purse. I asked if they would at least be willing to send me the same exact purse that I had and they refused. I will never buy another Dooney & Burke purse again, they have lost a customer.
