I feel that Wayne Brady is one of the most down to earth and entertaining people of our day and age. What a feeling to be able to remember the lyrics of the sounds of yesteryear, sing along, and cheer on somebody else! It is easy to follow along, and Wayne Brady makes every contestant feel that they are important, not just a paycheck to himself. I have always enjoyed the connection that Wayne has with the people around him, from Drew Carey on Who's Line Is It Anyway, t.v. commercials for a great cup of coffee or his latest venture on Don't Forget the Lyrics. He is much more entertaining to me than Joey Fontain on Singing Bee! Hopefully, the writers strike will end very soon, and I can get back to a fun and entertaining way to wind down a very busy day in the company of my husband. Would much rather watch him than the debates, which seem to be over populating every major network. Starting to get tired of the reruns of some of my favorite shows, and it is refreshing to watch sometimes very gifted, and sometimes not so gifted, people sing their hearts out for a little piece of the American dream...easy money! Heck, if I had a relative who lived near the studio, or the money and time to travel there, I might just tryout for the show. What a laugh my friends and family (and myself) would get out of seeing me on stage! In this day and age of rising prices and shrinking checks, it is good to take a half hour break occasionally, and just sit back, sing out loud, and laugh at myself! After all, I am my own best critic.
