Dollywood is an amusement park started by Dolly Parton in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It is in a beautiful area in eastern Tennessee where Parton was born. Although the park has fun rides and is for the family, I, as a single person, along with my parents appreciate the activities that go beyond eating greasy food and riding rollercoasters until your head spins. Our favorite events are the Fall Festival and the Christmas Celebration. During the Fall Festival, the park has fall decorations such as a pumpkin tree and gospel concerts. Fun but somewhat overpriced

We live an hour away from Dollywood and have bought season passes every year for five years now. I think the tickets are a little over priced. We get a free ticket for a company picnic every year and upgrade it to a season pass and if not for that I wouldn't do it. I do enjoy going and so do the kids but I wish they would get more rollar coasters! Overall it is a fun place to visit and has some good shows. The fall festival is fun and so is the kidfest in spring.

Fun place to visit

We had a great time at Dollywood. We bought our tickets after 3PM one day and returned for free the following day. There was lots to see and do. It's not Disneyland but it certainly has a theme and plenty to keep everyone in the family happy and busy.

Dollywood: Good ol country fun!

I've lived in Tennessee all my life so Dollywood is a place I've been several times. I love Dollywood, but it is pretty pricey. The best time to go is during the Holidays to see all the lights. I wish they would give discounts to the locals in and around Sevierville!

I wasn't at all impressed with Dollywood, with as much hype that revolves around it. The whole experience was disappointing, from the shows to the boring rollercoasters. You definitely don't get your money's worth. As a child, after going to Disney World, King's Island and Cedar Point Dollywood just doesn't measure up. Not even the rich history and general splendor of the area can add extra sparkle. However, children that are younger may enjoy the smaller rides and low intensity rollercoasters, as opposed to other amusement parks.
