I reserved a mid size car from Dollar on 3/5/09 and they consider a PT Cruiser a mid size car. I told them I wanted something different or even a smaller car. The agent said they didn't have any smaller cars or any other mid size but they did have a mid size SUV. I said okay but she said that since I didn't reserve a SUV, it would be an upgrade charge of $14.00 per day. The SUV was a Jeep Patriot. As you can see, they can call a car anything they want which is why I will never rent or recommend this outfit ever again.
