Dollar Rent A Car —
In case you haven't noticed, the US rental car companies have figured out that they can make a ton of money on the insurance they offer. Most people don't need it, but now the companies are really pushing it hard. I recently rented from Dollar in Vancouver B.C. and got a really hard sell pitch from the agent, but declined. I asked my own car insurance agent about this and he said I didn't need what they were selling. Many of the rental agents are getting incentives to push the insurance. If you decline you had better inspect the car carefully and take photos too. I am learning the hard way. After declining, they said I cracked the bumper of the car, which I didn't. You simply can't trust them.
