I book the cars, hotels and airlines for our company travelers. In all of my experience, I have never been so exasperated with Dollar. Not only did they promise me a certain rate for a traveler, when the individual got to the counter, the person at the desk refused there reservatoin and was down right rude about it. Not an ounce of businesslike attitude. I tried for 3 hours to work it out with them over the phone by calling their customer service, the desk where my traveler was standing and any other number I could find only to be told they did not want to help me and management could do nothing to solve the problem. I will never book with them again, no matter how good a deal they are offering. For me, service is what pays. I called Hertz (normally the most expensive) and explained the situation. They matched Dollar's rate and then upgraded my traveler. They were waiting with keys in hand when he arrived.
