DG Septic Tank Treatment System Treats for Less
Dollar General Natural Biodegrading Septic Tank Treatment System is like a generic form of Rid-X. It contains bacteria and enzymes to help keep the septic pipes from clogging. At $2 per 16 ounce box, I decided to give this a try.
What I like about DG Septic Treatment:
It's easy to use--open the box and flush the contents.
I don't have septic problems at this point.
The box claims that the ingredients are 100% natural.
The box says that it is safe for all septic systems.
What I don't like about DG Septic Treatment:
I'd rather have a county sewer line.
The box recommends to use this every month and I cannot seem to remember to do this that often.
It looks pretty gross and I usually clean the toilet after I use this. If someone were to forget to flush after pouring this into the toilet, they would have a real mess to clean up.
It can be harmful, especially to kids
The box mentions that it may cause allergic reactions in some people.
My Viewpoint:
I like to save money and I like to have a septic system that works. At $2/box, the Dollar General Septic Tank Treatment System fits the bill for me. If you are looking for ways to save money, this can save money in two ways--it's less expensive than the name brand and a whole lot cheaper than paying someone to work on the lines. Some people say that flushing yeast does the same thing. I'm not sure how a packet of yeast would compare to this, so I don't know which would be more cost effective. Feel free to comment if you know!
