The entire premise of this book was so far-fetched that I just HAD to read it.  While I was reading it, I was aware somewhere in the back of my mind that the central character had totally gone over the edge, but it didn't matter.  I was so in tune with his grief and search for the truth that I suspended MY grip on reality!!  To me, that's the sign of a well written book.
