I don't care what city you live in or near, we have all heard the loud music coming from other vehicles. A lot of times it is Rap or Hip Hop and filled with vulgarities including the infamous "N" word. It just seems it is okay for some to utter the word and taboo for others. What happened to equality? Am I pissed, You bet I am and if your sensitive on this subject I am sorry but I will say my peace here.

Dog The Bounty Hunter

Not only has this man had the guts to go to Mexico and retrieve the scum of the earth Andrew Luster, but he is also a man that turned his life around from being a convict to a man of the Law! He keeps the bad element in check and risks himself and family to do this from day to day. Then in a Private conversation utters the infamous "N" word and all the sudden he is the scum of the earth? Why? Does one mistake mean you are worthless, does it mean you should lose everything?

If so then there are a whole lot of people in this world that are going to lose what they worked all their lives to accomplish. The parent that made one little mistake will lose their kids, the teen who made a bad judgment will not be able to finish their education. The person that just opened their own business will have to close the doors. Over what? They made one mistake and our society will not tolerate it!

Do I believe Dwayne "The Dog" Chapman screwed up? Yes I do but I don't think he needs to be persecuted as has happened. Do I believe he is sorry he did it? Yes I do. This man turned his life around and went on to help many kids get off drugs and get out of gangs. He goes after law breakers and brings them to Justice every day! Sure he gets paid for it, but it is in his blood to right the wrongs of the world.

How many people out there would put their live at stake every day? Not knowing if they will make it home at night to see their family? Not very many I can tell you that, no matter what the pay would be. Yet Dwayne and his family do what many others will not do. So he uttered the "N" word, I hear it at least a few times a week on radios blaring when I go to the store.

My take on the "N" Word

I grew up in the turbulent 60's and 70's and I had just as many black friends as I had white friends. You know what we defined as a "N"? To us it was any person that was IGNORANT! That's correct it had nothing to do with race it had to do with IGNORANCE! So when I heard "Dog The Bounty Hunter" was being persecuted for saying it I was pissed! If we as Americans are going to start persecuting people for a saying a "BAD" word then we better start building a whole lot more prisons. If we are going to take away from people that make a mistake or say a bad word then we are going to need a lot more Orphanages!

For the life of me I can't understand why people need to go after others for their little mistakes. Yes I say little! He did not kill anyone, he didn't commit a rape. He uttered a word that people claim is a no no! I am not racist by a long shot and I was disappointed to hear Dwayne said what he did, but does he really deserve what they are doing to him? I don't think so!

Bottom Line

I think A & E was wrong to yank the show from their lineup. "Dog The Bounty Hunter" has helped a lot of people in his life and is a good example to young and old every where. He has publicly apologized and this just needs to end and let him go back to doing his job of cleaning up society and putting criminals where they belong!

Its time we look to our children for the ultimate guidance: "Sticks and Stones may Break our bones, but Words will never Hurt us." Don't let America regress to the old days of Racial Hatred. Don't let the utterance of the "N" word haunt our lives any longer. There is enough hate in this world, we are in the middle east, we have gangs in our neighborhoods and now we want to go to war over a WORD!

Yes I am passionate about race and you want to know why? I grew up being taught there is no superior race. My mothers family was locked behind the Iron Curtain because one man decided his race was better than another. BULL CRAP! We all breathe the same air, we all love our children. Let's not make race an issue any longer!

We as a race of humans have gotten away from the basics....all humans screw up at one time or another. If there is one person that has never done or said anything they were ashamed of later I want to meet them because they would either have to be God or a liar! We all make mistakes but now we have so many groups that want blood it is getting ridicules. His show is supposed to come back but I haven't seen anything saying when it will air again. ;)

I have never seen the show but I totally agree. I get so annoyed that the media blows all these people's lives. On Big Brother, a guy who works with autistic kids and obviously loved the kids and his job, had said "retards" and got fired! Worst, he didn't even KNOW he got fired, no warning, nothing, b/c he was still in the house. Instead, the media was banging at the companies door day in and day out until they announced he was fired. I feel like that is extreme. If I said something considered bad, I wouldn't expect to get fired without a chance to redeem myself.

A convict that can turn his life around and accomplish what Dog has is a great thing! Perhaps that's why they are being so harsh on him ;-)

One mistake?? Dog is not exactly the paragon of respectability and law-abiding citizenship. Still, I agree that popular opinion is being overly harsh on him.
