Dog the Bounty Hunter Review

Let me second what the other reviewers have said. Dog the Bounty Hunter losing his show because he used the N word in a private conversation is political correctness run amok. Chris Rock has a great routine in which he uses the N word perceptively and repeatedly. Using the N word does not necessarily prove you are a racist.

 As one of the other reviewers said, why can some people use the word (including rappers and "artists") but others not?

 I have no idea whether Dwayne's use of the word was justified or not. To know that, you would have to know the people involved, the situation, and what meaning was being conveyed. But none of that is anybody's business and Dwayne's privacy was blatantly violated by the release of the recording which was done with the obvious (and effective) intent to screw him.

There was a time when private comments were protected by rights to free speech and privacy.

One unfortunate side effect of the information and internet revolution is that everything is now considered everybody's business. Worse, issues are whipped up in a false way by yellow journalism done solely for profit by large media companies (and everyone else with a profit motive including bloggers). Any controversy is a juicy opportunity to gain viewers, listeners and eyeballs and those = profit.

Once again, there was a time when use of the public airwaves was a trust to be done in the public interest. Not anymore. Just ask Rupert Murdoch and his buddies in the Republican Party.
