In a perfect world there would be no abuse, however as humans living in an imperfect world, this problem creates social stigma and disstress, not to mention the financial burden to local and national agencies trying to eliminate or to at least minimize the impact of cruel, mean and barbaric behavior.

If only the politicians and government agencies had more backing, financial as well as social assistance, what a wonderful world we could make for all the animals needing assistance and all the devoted people that continue to give 200+% of time effort and money to the well being of creatures and animals that are unable to help themselves and more than not find themselves in an awful situation from a not so well meaning or under informed human being.

Health and safety issues, being the primary concern...for our society and the animals. Please think twice before getting that little puppy or kitty, bird, reptile etc...knowledge is power!
