Rescued my dog from a backyard breeder that was giving him away. He was only a year old, never vet checked, matted, flea ridden and his nails were embedded in his paw pads. In the first month of getting this pooch, my husband and I spent over $800 just in vet bills, grooming, and for his essentials.
This little dog is now healthy, beautiful, and a loving, appreciative companion. He rarely barks or whines, very non sexual (does not hump like alot of other male breeds do), and is just a joy to have around. He is very playful and attentive, yet can be very laid back and just be a lazy little lap dog.
I would recommend this breed to anyone that wants a dog but has allerigies....Shih Tzu's do not shed or smell like other dogs. Once you get one you can't help but SPOIL them!!
So glad he is in our lives....he has become a member of the family.
