I got a puppy pug this Christmas!!! I never imagined myself as a pug lover, but I would have to say that they are on of the most loving companion dogs that you could have in a little townhouse. He is a all black pug so he doesn't shed as much as the Fawn pugs, which is a plus for people that love dog but can't stand the shedding. It is also very good for people with pet allergies like my fiance. Since I have had my pug, he has brought a lot of joy to my life, along with the usual irritations such as potty training, biting and not wanting to listen, but all and all they are good dogs. He is… read full review »

Pugs are the best breed, in my opinion.  They are the clowns of the dog world.  Pugs, in my experience, are never in a bad mood. They aim to please their people. Pugs can have a long life, if given the proper care. We have two pugs, one 18 years old and one 3 years old.  Pugsy, our 18-year-old, is full of life and still a lot of fun. Elvis, our younger pug, is a little spitfire and totally fun to be with.  Pugs have the best personality; they're laid back and just want to be with their people.  Our dogs get along with our cats too. — — The only cons that… read full review »

We have two pugs, ages 6 and 3.  Both are very loving dogs and good pets.  They do require a lot of attention.  They're like spoiled babies in that they want to be with their people all the time.  They follow one of us around all the time and want attention.  With the two of them, on is dominant and pushes the other around.  They want to sleep in our bed and unfortunately, my wife allows it much of the time.  They both snore terribly.  Probably the biggest negative is that they shed hair a lot.  Constant vacuuming is required.  Overall, they… read full review »

My daughter bought a pug since she lived in an apartment and she read they were good for that. I have never thought much about pugs. I thought they were funny looking and never gave them a second thought. — — However, after she got her 8 week old female pug, I fell in love and totally thought different about pugs. Now I am one of their strongest supporters! She is now 2 and is fun, funny, has so much personality and I consider her my little grand-daughter :) — — I HIGHLY recommend pugs - what a… read full review »

I have had the privilage of owning two different pugs.  They are fabulous dogs and friendly as can be.  The only chance of aggression from them would be them licking you to death.  Both of our pugs did suffer from some separation anxiety, but I wonder if that is because they just love their people so much.  —  Caution must be taken in extreme temperatures with pugs, they are not to be outside dogs.  Who would want them to live outside anyway?  —… read full review »

Any family's looking to add a family pet to the mix should consider getting a pug. Their lovable, well tempered and always excited to see you.I have three children who adore my balls of fur. I own two myself a girl Belle who is 1 1/2, and a boy Pugsley who's 4. Their a lot of dog in a little body. They are needy though, you must keep their face's cleaned and you do have to watch out for there eyes's. But the reward of love you will receive is worth it. —… read full review »

My pugs are amazing.  I consider pugs one of the best dog breeds.  They're silly, loving, lovable, loyal, smart, talented, bossy, stubborn, need I go on ?  Some would consider their snoring annoying but I honestly can't sleep without it.  I don't even mind the shedding anymore.  I just clean more.  I love their wrinkles and their expressive faces.  Everyone should own a pug… read full review »

I have a pug who just turned 2. He is the sweetest most affectionate dog I've ever had. Pugs are not very active dogs, which make them great for someone who can't walk a dog 1 mile everyday. They are pretty easy going- not big barkers- and not picky eaters. They have a tendancy to be overweight, and they can have a variety of health problems, but they're great for people with kids or other pets.… read full review »

Oh, what is the matter with poor Puggy-wug — Pet him and kiss him and give him a hug. — Run and fetch him a suitable drug, — Wrap him up tenderly all in a rug, — That is the way to cure Puggy-wug. -Winston Churchill —  Pugs are the best dogs ever, no one else can compare! —… read full review »
