Best breed if you want a truely humanlike dog

one who spoils her dog, married, a dog lover, a pet owner, a dog owner, an animal lover, selective about pet food

I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this breed is. Commical, loyal, and just a great all around dog. They don't need alot of space, just a bed and blanket and they are happy. They love to burrow under blankets and love companionship. They need attention as do all dogs and if properly socialized as pups love kids!! My dream is to own at least 5 when I retire!! I just can't resist them!!

It is so true. I have had so many dogs thru the years from Husky, poodle, Lasa Apso, cocker, you name it. My mini Dachshund is probably the most human-like dog I have ever had. My dream is to have 5 little wieners one day running around! My husband who NEVER had a dog, can't even imagine life without her! Dogs are just great and should have more rights!

I love dachshund's too. I have a half dachshund and half miniature pincher dog that I just dearly love. I think he thinks he is a child. He gets very jealous if I pet the other dogs. He sleeps in my bed and sunggle's with me. Whenever I sit down he jumps up into my lap and lays down. I have two grown children so I guess he is my at home child.
