Dog Breed American Pitt Bull Terrier —
APBT's aren't for everyone. They require a very responsible owner who is out to make the breed proud. There is so much negativity surrounding this breed. However, there is no such thing as a bad dog, only a bad owner! Sure they can be genetically predisposed to be dog aggressive, but responsible ownership can handle that. Rescuing an APBT who is 2 or older gives you a better sense of temperment, because you never know with puppies how their temperment will be. They require a good amount of exercise and aren't for the owner who doesn't want to give them this exercise! They are loyal to humans especially their owners. Great with kids and most likely able to handle the rough play that can come with kids. These dogs aren't watch dogs! They are more likely to kiss a stranger than attack one unless the stranger is posing a threat to the owner. Overall a great dog, but like any animal a lot of responsibility. Did I mention that they are great looking? Especially the pups! It's too bad for the negavtive image they have, because I do own a pit bull and would hate to see BSL make it impossible to have her in the future. If you are seriously considering getting an APBT make sure you completely understand all of their needs! Oh and get your pets spayed and neutered! There are too many animals who need forever homes!

I totally agree. You should only have a bully if you plan on being a good ambassador of the breed. They are so great with kids, well look back in history they were the nanny dog. I love, love, love your pic with your dog. Sooooo cute!
