Anyone who is suffering from depression should get a dog!  My doctor wrote a letter for me to get a dog licensed as a service dog.  I just had to find the right dog.  I chose a pit bull after much research on dog breeds and was surprised at how many people said these were such great, sensitive dogs.  They make excellent service animals!  They are very easy to train and want so much to please you that I truly believe you could teach them anything.  My dog Ginger, a red brindle, goes everywhere with me.  She loves to go shopping, and she knows the names of many places we visit regularly.  She gets a fan club everywhere she goes!  Before I had Ginger I didn't even want to leave the house.  Now I love to take her out to see all her friends.  She really opened up my world and my heart.  I'm not sure any other kind of dog could have done that for me.  Pit Bulls are the best!
