these guys are a handful, but they sure love our family!

Hi all! I just wanted to say that my dogs are so beautiful, inside and out. I believe that we have the mini size of the breed, they are about knee-high and around 20# each. I have a 3yr old girl - Molli, and a yr old boy - Jack. We've had to make them into Tropical Eskimo Dogs by trimming their hair short due to the heat down here, but they didn't mind. Now they almost look like some kind of Terrier, but that's ok - no more shedding problem - yippee!

We got our first American Eskimo Dog 3 years ago after researching this breed. They can be stubborn but are normally eager to please and very smart. We just got a new puppy in August from the same breeder (so they are half brother/sister - same mother) and they get along famously and glad to have each other - now I am hooked on the breed. They aren't for everyone so do your homework but if you are up to the challenge and social and train them properly they are great dogs!
