Dodge journey - 2009 Review

I purchased the 2009 Dodge Journey in May of 2008 and after having it a year and a half I am not completely satisfied. 

The bad......

At 13,000 miles I needed to replace the front brakes and have the rotars cut.  (the warranty covers up to 12,000 miles)  Well ever since I had the rotars cut, I feel a horrible vibration in the steering wheel.  I've gone back to the dealer and they told me time and time again, that nothing was wrong...well finally I threatened them and they recut the rotars.  I've since taken my vehicle to another shop and they have suggested I replace the rotars (very expensive).

At 20,000 miles I already need to replace the tires.

There is no vent in the back seat and the kids always complain that they are either too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter.  The air conditioning takes quite a while to cool the car off.  The back seats are very uncomfortable and it is very cramped if you try and put a third person in the back seat.

The fabric of the seats is not stain resistance and my husband, who is a carpet and upholstery cleaner, had to clean the upholstery twice professionally to get the few stains out. 

The gas mileage that I get is not much better than the Ford Explorer I used to have. 

The good....

I really like all the compartments, especially in the cargo area.  It's a great place to store jackets or hoodies and other miscellaneous items I might need.
