We recently purchased a vacation home in northeast Tennessee and were going to be making the drive from south Florida up there a few times a year. My husband had a 2005 Dodge Durango extended cab at the time and we used it for the first trip up. After 12 hours in the extended cab it was clear that our 9 year old daughter and our boxer would not be able to make the trip in the extended cab much longer. In March of 2007, my car was on it's LAST leg and we needed a new vechile. I decided that a truck would be a good choice as we are a family of 3. We started to shop around and my mind and heart wanted to stay with Dodge. We crossed our fingers and came out with a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. I absolutely Love this truck. The gas mileage is not as bad as first thought. Before a truck I could not back into a parting place very well. Now I'm able to feel more comfortable in my backing abilities. This truck is gorgeous! It is absolutely an eye-catcher! I have the quad cab and it is very roomy. The gas mileage is definately not good but I am lucky that my girlfriend has a honda accord or I definately wouldn't have bought this truck.  It is very hard to park in parking spots at malls, grocery stores, and movies so you will have to walk to wherever you are going.  Great for trips but you need to take another couple or have more than two people in the car to justify the gas mileage.  Beautiful truck and is defatinely great… read full review »
