Dodge Durango - 2005 —

Prior to 2005 I owned mini vans and cars. The 2005 Durango is much bigger than the prior years. I loved the way the Durango looked when I saw it on the lot. I was afraid to test drive it because of the size but the sales agent assured me that I would be able to handle the truck so I decided to test drive it. Once I put the truck into reverse to test drive it I knew this was the vehicle for me. It is very comfortable for around long and short road trips. There is plenty of leg room for everyone. I do not have the third row seating my truck only seats 5 because of this I have to storage areas in the back under the floor. Because I live in the northeast I keep blankets and extra coats, hats, gloves in the truck in case we ever have car trouble. Because of the in the floor storage I can keep these things in the truck and no one knows they are there and they are not taking up space on us. I have driven through snow storms where we have received 8 to 10 feet of snow where there are vehicles stuck all over the place but because I have 4 wheel drive and the underside of the truck is so high off the ground I can drive right through the snow with no problems and I am able to help the people who are stuck. There are a couple down sides to this vehicle though it is a gas guzzler and with the price of gas it costs about $65.00 to fill the tank. The other issue is that if you are driving more than 30 miles an hour with the back windows open the wind makes a noise that actually hurts your ears this is not a problem for my family because we just use the air conditioning.
