First of all we own 2 Dodges.  A Ram 1500 (1993) with almost 220,000 miles and still runs perfectly.  A Dodge Durango 4X4 (2003).

We call them our boys because Dodges certainly aren't girls.  We bought my 'baby boy' or 'momma's boy' when we moved back to Wisconsin from Arkansas.  I didn't want to get stuck without 4 wheel drive another winter here.  It's a V8 with power to spare.  He gets 20 mpg in town and between 23-24 on the highway with the cruise on without it being in 4 wheel drive.

The Durango cuts through the snow like it's not even there.  No slipping and sliding or spinning...

I own the 2003 Durango that features 3 rows of seating and comfort for a total of 7 riders. I have a family of four with two dogs in tow and cannot commend the roominess of this SUV. The fold down third row makes for more storage and dog room. However keeping the third row up still allows for mega trunk space, groceries and luggage can fit nicely. The V8 made me nervous at first, but this truck is not a gas guzzler. Drive responsibly and you can maintain 18 MPG easily without sacrificing speed. Cruise control and an easy to reach radio/heat/ac face make for comfortable rides as driver for longer... review »

I was actually looking for an inexpensive 4 X 4 vehicle when I decided on the Dodge Durango. I bought it because it had the most features at a reasonable price. I had never owned a Chrysler product before but thought I prpbably would get rid of it when it started costing me to much to keep. I've got 120k miles on it and it still runs great. I've had the typical maintenance but not to much in the line of problems. I had some issues early on when I first bought it but once the dealer got it figured out that issue got resolved. Surprisingly its been a great vehicle. Glad I bought it.
