This truck is awesome!  My boyfriend and I have recently purchased a 2005 quad cab as a daily driver and love it!  The gas mileage we get on this truck is about 20 mpg.  It is also very comfortable to drive.  If you have any concerns with the size of this vehicle ... I would pass on this truck, too many problems for a new vehicle

We bought this truck in 2005 new.  So far we have had to take it in 4 times to get the brakes fixed, few other problems and now it has problems with the wheel bearings.  We only have 38K miles on it so far.  We just bought the extended warrenty and are going to use it shortly!

I am a truck girl.  Growing up my dad always had a truck and I just couldn't wait until I got old enough to buy my own big beast.  Then, I ended up marrying a guy who is not so into trucks.  The perfect comprimise?  The Dodge Dakota.  It's small enough so that it can easily fit into the garage, yet big enough to give me the feel of being in a "real truck."  While aftermarket parts for upgrades are scarce for the Dakota, the market is improving slowly.  I have added a Ravin Exhaust system and my Dakota sounds awesome!  I have also upgraded the stereo system with a new head unit and new speakers. ... read full review »

Great styling but lacks a little with mpg

This Dakota is a dream for styling so what it lacks it miles per gallon it makes up for in styling.  The power performance isn't bad either.  I bought this vehicle used and have truly enjoyed the purchase and I do not believe that I will buy from any other manufacturer.  It has great upgradability, however, it can be tough to locate the aftermarket parts at times.  All in all though its a great vehicle.
