Most HelpfulI've had the Caliber for 2 years now, we got one of the first ones in May 2006. I have a manual transmission and the 6disc CD changer stereo. It is the burnt orange color with the sport package.
The PROS:I get 27-30 MPG which is really great! The car is very versatile. The back seats fold down and the...
read full review »As a bit of a change-up, the Caliber is a hatchback/wagon, and there is no accompanying sedan version. It would seem that Dodge decided a compact hatchback would be a swell idea in light of America's recent and slightly elevated interest in smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles. The Caliber is not a hard-core fuel miser, though, and is instead a pretty normal-sized compact. It features an all-new chassis design, and is being built at DaimlerChrysler's retooled Belvidere, Illinois, plant. Dodge placed a priority on giving the Caliber a high level of versatility, style and safety.

read full review »I got my 2007 Dodge Caliber used, with only 9,000 miles. It was in excellent condition. I opted for the basic trim due to the car still being under warranty for two more years. I poured thousands of maintenance costs into a Mitsubishi Galant and what a waste!
With the economy in shambles I vowed to buy American and I would say I am pleased. I do not need anything overly fancy. As a recent college grad I am looking to pay off a lot of debt and not fall into the earn more, spend more trap.
The Caliber is simple and practical for getting around town. I love the hatchback style and the back seats...
read full review »I got my 2007 Dodge Caliber new when my 2004 Dodge Neon was totaled. I wanted a new car and the Caliber had replaced the neon. I was sad as I loved my neon. I have come to really enjoy my caliber as I have a Cocker spaniel that loves to go for rides and the back seats stay folded down to allow for all his toys, blanket and pillow. I get good gas mileage with the caliber and the only drawbacks was that I had to get use to not seeing the end of the front end, This made parking hard for awhile as I could not see if I was going to hit anything in front of me. My dodge caliber came with the lifetime...
read full review »I thoroughly reviewed the 07 Dodge Caliber, as well as the Toyota Matrix and Honda Fit.
The Caliber won over the Matrix due to a bad blind spot on the Matrix, but Matrix was better mpg. Caliber won over the Fit due to there was only one Fit available to see and it was smaller than i expected. But the Fit has great mpg.
I love my Caliber. it's not my favorite new car i've owned, and the mpg is much lower in reality. They advertised it to be around 34, i'm lucky if i get 23.
Its an easy car to drive and its nice looking without being too showy.
I have had my Dodge Caliber a little over a year now and couldn't be happier. The fuel economy is great! I drive over 70 miles round trip to work, so getting an average of 30mpg really helps my pocketbook.
Beside gas mileage I love the fold down back seat. My Caliber comfortably seats my family including my college age son. The fold down seat enables you to haul something, I have toted a 40 gallon water tank for our horses in it.
The visibility out the back windows is an issue. You must be extremely careful when passing other vehicles.
This was my first new car I was only 18 when I got it in Feb. It is so fun to drive I have a stick and I like to go fast so it is fun to drop a gear and take off. It also geats good MPG's I get almost 400 miles to a tank and i Drive about 28 miles to and from work. This car is aimed toward my generation, also when they relase the SRT-4 verison alot more people will have them.
This was a great car at a great price.
