I remember Tom Baker. Later I learned to love them all. All my Doctors. And now Russell T. Davies has brought him back to life. Even better than before.
With Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant, the Doctor Who franchise has been in the hands of wonderful actors. We wait patiently for the unveiling of Matt Smith. As Russell T. Davies and Julie Gardner hand over the reins of Executive Producer to Steven Moffat, all of us who love a great story with intricate twists and turns, good laughs and sometimes even a tear or two sit up on the edge of our seats. Of course, don't forget to get a really big couch to hide behind because Steven's stories can sometimes be wildly terrifying too!
If the series had been handed to anyone else, I would have been skeptical. After the season with David Tennant and Catherine Tate, I was surprised that anyone would even try to make more episodes. There was just so much that was so wonderful.
The characters, the companions, the planets, the peoples and the Doctors all combine to bring to life the fantastical visions of so many over the years. What would we do without them?
