Port Orleans Riverside used to be known by the name "Dixie Landings" Resort and I will always think of it this way. We love the old waterwheel and the food court is HUGE with terrific items. We have always stayed (5 or 6 times) on the Mansion side...so we cannot comment on Alligator Bayou. We love the quiet pools close to the rooms and also the "Ol' Man Island" where you can use the pool slide and get a mean Mud Slide! Another perk is being able to use the water taxi down to the Marketplace....check it out!

The Disney Port orleans -Riverside was more than I expected and the staff WAS AWSOME, I was remainded at all times that I was in Disney World and not on Planet Earth anymore. The was spacious and well arranged, and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud, which you really need after walking all day the parks. It was just a great experience.

Recreational Attactions: Short Drive, Satying in a Disney hotel makes everything so much easier, if you drive to the parks your parking is FREE you save $10 a day or you can take disney's transportation until 2 am!

This was a great value for us. The bus service to all the parks was fast. The amenities including pool facilities were excellent. Short walk to eating areas. Quality of counter food average. Service avg. Room was very clean with many towels. Have stayed here 5 times before. Would stay at Riverside again.

Recreational Attactions: Short Walk, Look to the parks, or other resort hotels for upscale dining. Ask for room close to secondary pools. They are less crowded and just as nice. A tip to your maid brings towel animals that are very cute.

The Port Orleans Riverside is a comfortable place to stay on Disney property. The staff are all helpful and pleasant and the grounds are impeccably maintained. Rooms are immaculate. Transportation to Disney parks and Downtown was very easy. The only negatives are the size of the resort (which could be a positive) may translate to a long walk to the restaurants/shuttle stops and the food may get repetitive which is a factor everywhere in Disney.

The hotel was fabulous. The room was very comfortable. I would return without question.

Recreational Attactions: Short Drive, If not comfortable with public Transportation rent a car. The busses will get you there but plan on burning at least an hour between the wait and all the stops before you get to destination.

Very cozy hotel, beautiful exterior and the rooms were comfortable. Unfortunately no room service but pizza is available 24-7. Great place for the $$

Entertainment: Short Drive, The hotel is in an excellent location for all the Disney parks and Downtown Disney!

Room was comfortable, a 2 sink vanity area was great along with ample space to store items. The Waterview option provided quiet surroundings.

Recreational Attactions: Not Applicable, Busses provided transportation to/from Disney World properties.

The room was dirty and they didn't make it up the next day. We did get 50% off of one night's cost after a half hour of complaining.

Larger room capacity for bigger family!

Our last stay at WDW was at the Port Orleans Riverside Resort. We ended up staying here because we could fit our entire family of 6 into one room. We had 2 double beds, a roll out bed and a pack and play. It was tight, but was well worth not having to pay for 2 rooms.

We also ate lunch at the restaurant there (can't remember the name, but is in the same building as the lobby) and enjoyed it. No one was there at lunch, so the service was fast.
