Loved the private entrance directly into California Adventure

We had a great view of California Adventure and loved the separate entrance they have directly into the park from the hotel. The hotel is nicely situated so that it borders Downtown Disney on one side and California Adventure on the other side.

The hotel is just beautiful - you feel like you have stepped into a massive lodge at a national park when you are inside the hotel and yet you are right in the middle of all the action the minute you step outside the hotel. The rooms are luxurious and spacious and have nice amenities like wide screen tvs and daybeds.

Obviously the Grand Californian is of of the finer hotels in the So. Cal. area, and the location can't be better--connected to California Adventure and Downtown Disney. The Hotel is very well maintained and has awesome architecture. My only complaint was that we were not able to check into our room until 3:55, although the hotel states that check-in is at 3:00pm. We were told that the rooms are usually released between 3:00 and 4:00. For the price, I would like to think the rooms would be ready no later than 3:00, earlier if possible.
