Disneyland Review Summary

Viewpoints reviewers recommend a vacation to Disneyland in Anaheim, California for it's fun rides, kid-friendly entertainment, and nostalgic atmosphere. Some even go as far as saying "California's Disneyland Kicks Butt Over Orlando's Disney World!" Boasting rides, shows, parades, ice cream parlors and more, Disneyland is a theme park like none other. "The details that are put into the park are amazing." Although the park is aimed at children, adults are having a great time as well!  If you are looking for "a place where kids and adults can revel in fantasies of princesses, pirates, and the utopia of tomorrow" then come to Disneyland which reviewers say is the "Happiest Place on the Planet"! Don't miss California Adventure, located directly next to Disneyland. Need a place to stay? Read about these hotels near Disneyland.

There's a whole lot of people who buy into a whole lot of hype and nonsense when it comes to Orlando's Walt Disney World. You'd think it was some kind of an "original" or one of kind. Folks who know better know that the real gem in Orlando is the Magic Kingdom, and the Magic Kingdom is virtually a nut for nut replay of Disneyland --- the ORIGINAL Walt Disney theme park. I've been to 'em both, and I just plain LIKE Disneyland a whole lot better. It's easier to visit, for one thing, with simpler logistics and a better vibe. There's still crowds, the food is just as lousey as it is in Orlando,… read full review »

My fiance, Tyler told me when we first started dating that he wanted to take me to the Blue Bayou at Disneyland.  We almost made it there the first summer that we visited his family in Northern California.  We had planned on making a quick flight down to the OC and spending the day there we would ride all the rides during the day and have a romantice dinner at the Bayou at night.  Plans fell through and we didn't get to go.  We moved to Michigan in August and let the thought fall to the sidelines. I got placed at an intership in Newport Beach last… read full review »

I loved, loved, loved Disneyland!  I wasn't expecting to ever like Disneyland, but I had a blast.  I went with a friend who got us in for free, so that was a plus.  But really, I would have paid the 100 bucks to feel like a small child for the day.  The rides were great, the christmas parade was wonderful, I had the best time of my life and I wasn't expecting it at… read full review »

There is a wonderful sense of history and joy at Disneyland.   We took the guided Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour and really enjoyed hearing how the park came together and how it inspired the changes that became Walt Disney World.    — I am a huge Walt Disney World fan, however, I didn't feel the need to constantly compare the parks.   The park has a wonderful charm and innocence about it.   It was built to be a playground for children and parents and it really captures that family spirit.    — We also… read full review »

DISNEYLAND IS ABSOLUTELY A FAMILY FAVORITE FOR ANY FAMILY, IM SURE!  I TOOK MYDAUGHTER AND BOYFRIEND THERE TWICE WITHIN THE YEAR LAST YEAR!  WE JUST HAD SOOO MUCH FUN, MY DAUGHTER WAS SO HAPPY AND TO SEE HER THAT EXCITED AND HAPY, WAS ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS!  TO SEE YOUR CHILD(EN) THAT HAPPY AND TO EVEN LET GO YOURSELF AND BE THAT HAPPY AND CAREFREE AND EXCITED...IS ALL WORTH THE TRIP TO GO THERE!!  BOTH TIMES WE WENT, THE EMPLOYEES IN THE PARK WERE ALL WONDERFUL (AS THEY ARE EXPECTED TO BE RIGHT?) AND EVERYTHING ABOUT THE TRIPS WERE JUST....ALMOST PERFECT!  GREAT FOOD,… read full review »

Disneyland is a place where an adult can enter, leave their worries at the door, and just be a kid again.  California's Disneyland is great for locals or vacationers.  There are many attractions near by within walking distance like Disney's California Adventure, Downtown Disney (which has great restaurants, shopping, and entertainment), and great Disney owned hotels.  My favorite part of Disneyland is the firework show in front of Sleeping Beauty castle at the end of the night (there is even a live Tinkerbell that flies over the castle). They have great rides for all ages (my… read full review »

Excluding the cost of plane tickets to get from our home in Dallas to Ananheim, we can actually go for a 5 day trip to Disneyland (long weekend) as cheap, or cheaper than a long weekend to drive down to San Antonio. The package deals through disney.com are perfect and if you stay at a good neighbor hotel they get even better. The park employees are always gracious and accomodating and we've taken my very small son (2 years old now) twice in the past year (once at 13 months, once at 20 months) and both times he had a wonderful time! We're headed down to Disneyworld this year, but I can… read full review »

Disneyland isn't just for kids, although for those of us who have a lot of nostalgic feelings about it, we sure feel like kids. There are a lot of new adult-friendly rides at Disneyland's California Adventure, and we found most of the rides in Disneyland to also be fun for us as adults. Because the two are technically two separate parks, and the least expensive passes are one day, one park passes, you'll pay extra to be able to visit both sides. If you're only there for one day, a one day, one park pass should be more than enough to keep you busy, it'd be difficult to get to both parks in… read full review »

I lived by Disneyland for 22 year sixteen years ago and go at least once a month as a teen. I don't know this place anymore. It has really changed for the best. The rides have upgraded their image and cordinate with the Disney movies better. I still see older structures of the past rides that leave empty gaps in tomorrowland but most visitors would not even notice there is pieces of Disneyland missing. —… read full review »

I have taken my family to Disneyland several times over the years, and have spent up to 10 days there. I have 4 children, but I would go if I had no children. I know that you can stay on a budget, but still be able to enjoy an extended vacation with a large family. You can't eat Disney 3 times a day, but you can have fun! — — —… read full review »
