Excluding the cost of plane tickets to get from our home in Dallas to Ananheim, we can actually go for a 5 day trip to Disneyland (long weekend) as cheap, or cheaper than a long weekend to drive down to San Antonio. The package deals through disney.com are perfect and if you stay at a good neighbor hotel they get even better. The park employees are always gracious and accomodating and we've taken my very small son (2 years old now) twice in the past year (once at 13 months, once at 20 months) and both times he had a wonderful time! We're headed down to Disneyworld this year, but I can guarantee, Disneyland will be a regular vacation stop for us!
