This is my favorite of all the moderate resorts at Disney World.  Port Orleans Riverside offers luxury at a moderate price.  The rooms are quite large and are beautifully decorated.  The grounds are absolutely beautiful.  Just walking from the room to the pool areas gives you a sense of landscape awe.  It's amazing how Disney puts so much into the detail of each resort.  This resort is perfect for those on a honeymoon or for couples in general.  It is so romantic especailly at night.  The only reason that I would choose this resort over the Wilderness Lodge is because you can park near... review »

Walt Disney World's Port Orleans Riverside Resort is a beautiful oasis in the theme park world.  The theming is beautiful, reflecting an old Southern Plantation or a bayou cottage.  The tranquil gardens and fountains almost make you forget you are at Walt Disney World--except for the exceptional service.

The feature pool is a great size and lots of fun for kids and adults.  The food court and full service restaurant offer plenty of options for meals.  Recreational activities include fishing, boat rentals at the marina, bike rentals, and carriage rides.

Disney transportation offers a lovely boat...

Although this is not one of the top Disney hotels, we loved it.  It has a fair price and if you are not planning on spending a lot of time in the room, it's perfect for a family!!!  We spent ninety eight percent of our day in the park and rarely used the pool, however the pools were so much fun.  It has a swimming hole feel with a slide and water features.  You can rent boats or kayaks or fish from a stick.  The hotel is perfect for families, and if you want more than the basics, but don't need luxury, it's great.  We loved fabulous hotels, but at Disney, it just isn't worth the money because... review »

At the Port Orleans Riverside we enjoyed all the ammenities to add to the magic of our vacation!  We stayed in the Mansion side and it was close walk to pools, transportation and dining.

There is great themes to enjoy, large property, full service dining as well as quick service.  Many pools to enjoy,  nice bike or jogging paths, boat rentals, carriage rides, game room and store. THere is also a fishing hole for the kids and playground.  A poolside bar and laudnry facilites.

My only gripe was no music at poolside like the sister property the French Quarter!  The diverstiy of theming is wonderful...

Great hotel.  Scenery is beautiful.  Food at the hotel is great.  The bar is a lot of fun & very interactive.  There are lots of activities for kids of all ages.  The pools are very fun with the main pool having a huge water slide.  Rooms are nice & clean.  Be careful of which building you are in, many are far away from the bus stops & from the main lobby.  The price for what you get is good & the people that work there are very friendly.

Port Orleans Riverside is one of the prettiest moderately priced Disney hotels. You can even fit up to 5 people in a room, which is great for larger families. The pool is cute with a slide and they have a food court as well as a sit down restaurant. There is even a fairy that takes you to downtown Disney and Port Orleans French Quarter where you can pool hop.

On my first trip to Disney World in 2006, me, my husband, daughter, son and mother stayed at Port Orleans Riverside.  I love the theming of this resort.  The pool with the slide is a lot of fun.  My children loved it.  The rooms were nice and I loved that they had a trundle bed so that we could fit 5 people in the room.  I don't know why more of the Disney hotels do not do this feature.  I love all things Disney.  I would highly recommend this hotel.  The food court is good and I love the gift shop.

Disney's Port Orleans Riverside is nice and quiet.  Its pretty and has transportation by boat to Downtown Disney and buses to each theme park.  The only inconvenience is the distance from the hotel to everything else.   It's location in the downtown disney area leaves the commute around 15-20 to everything else which is not fun, especially ater you've stayed at hotels closer to the action.  The food court is great but the sit down isn't anything special.
