Walt Disney World's Port Orleans Riverside Resort is a beautiful oasis in the theme park world. The theming is beautiful, reflecting an old Southern Plantation or a bayou cottage. The tranquil gardens and fountains almost make you forget you are at Walt Disney World--except for the exceptional service.
The feature pool is a great size and lots of fun for kids and adults. The food court and full service restaurant offer plenty of options for meals. Recreational activities include fishing, boat rentals at the marina, bike rentals, and carriage rides.
Disney transportation offers a lovely boat...
review »At the Port Orleans Riverside we enjoyed all the ammenities to add to the magic of our vacation! We stayed in the Mansion side and it was close walk to pools, transportation and dining.
There is great themes to enjoy, large property, full service dining as well as quick service. Many pools to enjoy, nice bike or jogging paths, boat rentals, carriage rides, game room and store. THere is also a fishing hole for the kids and playground. A poolside bar and laudnry facilites.
My only gripe was no music at poolside like the sister property the French Quarter! The diverstiy of theming is wonderful...
review »Port Orleans Riverside is one of the prettiest moderately priced Disney hotels. You can even fit up to 5 people in a room, which is great for larger families. The pool is cute with a slide and they have a food court as well as a sit down restaurant. There is even a fairy that takes you to downtown Disney and Port Orleans French Quarter where you can pool hop.
Disney's Port Orleans Riverside is nice and quiet. Its pretty and has transportation by boat to Downtown Disney and buses to each theme park. The only inconvenience is the distance from the hotel to everything else. It's location in the downtown disney area leaves the commute around 15-20 to everything else which is not fun, especially ater you've stayed at hotels closer to the action. The food court is great but the sit down isn't anything special.
