I like getting free stuff, especially for my kids, but I don’t want to have to spend lots of time to get it and I want to get things worth the time I do spend. Is that too much to ask?
It’s not at DisneyMovieRewards.com. When we received Ratatouille and Meet the Robinsons for Christmas, my daughter found inserts for DisneyMovieRewards.com. I was skeptical but told her that we could check it out together. In the mean time she scoured through our Disney DVDs and found two previously overlooked Disney Movie Rewards inserts.

At the DisneyMovieRewards.com web site we of course had to “join” by filling out basic information, creating a user name and pass word. It was really pretty simple to put in the reward codes from our inserts and we found that our four rewards codes offered us 400 points. In our experience, we got 100 points per movie. There are also opportunities to get more points by filling out surveys, which I declined.

We all know that Disney movies are not a drop in the bucket investment, so what can you get for your points at Disney Movie Rewards? Here are a few examples that were available in February 2008.

200 points- 2 Princess stickers sheets

300 points- Disney mini-posters

400 points- Cars baseball cap, Pink Princess baseball cap, diary, Chronicles of Narnia Pendant

600 points- Princess Scrap Booking Kit or Pirates of the Caribbean Scrap Booking Kit or a Ratatouille Apron and Chef Hat which I thought was really cute and would make a fun gift.

1,000 points- Pooh or Piglet Porcelain Figurine Jar, Digital Camera

2,200 points- Zorro First Season DVD Box Set

My daughter chose the pink Princess baseball cap. I was pleased that when we “redeemed” our points her choice was available and there were no bad surprises like having to pay for shipping.

Read the descriptions carefully. One photo looks like a sweatshirt. In fact, it is High School Musical Sweatshirt “gadget tote” that would hold a cell, camera or MP3. A sweatshirt for only 450 points? If it looks to good to be true, read the details.

My Viewpoint:

If you are investing in Disney movies, then it is worth your time to collect the Disney Movie Rewards inserts and take a few minutes to get a free product for a young, or young at heart, Disney fan.

sort of like collecting coke points. I couldn't see the value until I found out you can get a year of free blockbuster online. . . now that is something I can save for. excellent review.
