I thought this might be a good offer but to fulfill your membership agreement you have to buy 4 DVDs at the regular club price, which means nothing even slightly discounted.  There are very few movies at the 19.95 "regular" price and to fulfill your membership you must buy 4, which ends up costing you somehwere around $110 with shipping and the "regular" priced items, which are too few to mention. 

 Now after throwing $110 away on 8 movies, the club has pretty fair priced items.  Amazon smokes this club in every comparison. 

SAVE your money and time trying to work out how to get out of this...

This company is average for collecting movies. The customer service is a problem. I had several DVDs I had to return because I didn't order them. I informed the company that I had not received my monthly notice. They responded by telling me they always send notices. I also had an order that I canceled before submitting that I received anyway. They charge for returns that are their mistake. They follow the philosophy " the customer is NEVER right".

The Disney Movie Club has been a great source of stress for me. My mother got the add in the mail and thought that I would appreciate this $2 per movie deal. I'm always trying to save money and she expected that this would be a good deal. Instead, we have spent well above the price of the movies at the local grocery store. Any other source for movies has been cheaper. Also, we couldn't cancel until we had finished our commitment. At that point, I might as well just remain a member. This philosophy is defeated because as a member, I am forced to call to tell them not to send me the featured title...

Disney Movie Club spammed my email account not one, but three times over a period of two days.  This business is extremely unethical, and cannot be operating a legitimate business due to the breaking of internet laws and violations of privacy.  Any company that must resort to such behaviour must have major problems and be nothing but bad news.  They violate the peace and privacy of countless people, with multiple spams to each person.  DO NOT give them even one penny of your money.  DO NOT give them ANY of your personal information.  They CANNOT be trusted with either money or information. ...

The Disney Movie Club has a great selection of movies you just don't see for sale at the stores.  BUT, where are all the blockbusters?  I am forced to buy big name movies like, Aladdin, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, etc., etc.  elsewhere because the DMC just doesn't offer them.  Apparently, they go into some vault -whatever that means.  I wanted to build my collection and figured I would have no problem hitting my commitment with all the blockbusters I want to buy, but instead I have to buy other movies which isn't so bad, but not what I expected at all.

During my membership with Disney Movie Club I was offered a free movie with the referral of a friend. I managed to recruit two of my friends in joining the club. After many calls requesting my two free movies I was told they didn't have anything on file. Each time they took the membership numbers of my friends and the movies I wanted but never sent them. It also became difficult to cancel the feature selection and when you return the DVD they send nasty letters requesting you not return the DVD's.
