Disney Cruise Line - Wonder Review Summary

Reviewers love the Disney Cruise Line's Wonder. It ranks among the best cruises on the site. As with many Disney cruises, reviewers like the kid and adult friendly nature of this Disney Cruise ship. Family travelers say that there are "continuous activities" for the kids. If you appreciate good service reviewers say that the staff is "amazingly friendly". The minor complaints involved a lack of gambling –not always a bad thing- and, of course, cost. Interested in reading more Disney Cruise reviews? Try the Disney Magic.

The Disney Cruise line has two sister ships: Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, both of which have 875 staterooms. It had been five years since we had last sailed on either of them when we got a chance to sail on the Disney Wonder again. We were going to be in the area and got a great last minute deal… read full review »

Well, I took a cruise on the Disney Wonder with my friend it was so much fun. The weather was great. The service was ok but could have been better. I hate that the trip had to end but it was fun for the time. I would not reccomend this cruise line for anyone else the service was… read full review »

We've been on 2 Disney Cruises and going on our 3rd next month.  They are just great.  There is always so much to do or you can do nothing.    I like the 'doing nothing' part.  I go and sit at Quiet Cove Pool-the adults only pool-with a drink with an umbrella in my hand and bask in the sun.  There is nothing better than that.   All the cast members are so great and helpful.  Room service is great too!!!!  It's just so nice to sit in your room or on your verandah and eat while watching the ocean sail away.  We always have a catagory 7… read full review »

This was a second cruise for my husband and I and a first with the kids.  Our first cruise was on a different line and it pales compared to the Disney cruise experience.  Our kids are 4 and 6 and they had a great time.  As soon as we got in the car to come home they asked, "When are we going again?" — We fed the stingrays in Nassau and that was a perfect excursion for young kids.  My youngest was scared to be in the water with them, but she loved watching them from the shore.  My oldest had a blast.  After feeding the stingrays, we were fed lunch and spent… read full review »

For a first time cruise we chose the 4 night Disney package followed by the 3 night Disney Wonder cruise and were more than satisfied with the experience. — We satyed at the Carribean Beach resort on the Disney grounds and expolred tha parks leisurely for 5 days. Although our trip extended over the 4th of July hoiday, it was not over crowded as we expected. ( There were lots of people but the lines  were tolerable.) The extra celebrations and fireworks displays on several nights made it very worthwhile! The cruise was more than we expected. I was very… read full review »

If you are just a big kid...and love Disney, then once you have been on a Disney Cruise...all others will seem paled.  We went after spending 4 days at Disney World. EVERYTHING was perfect.  There was more than enough to do.  Disney parties every night, wonder shore escursions.  We went snorkling at one of the ports and it was amazing to see the colorful fish, singrays, eels, and much more. (And the water is bathtub warm there :) I only wish they had more longer cruises...there is so much to do at port and on ship...and all of it fun...you want to do it an=ll and can't.… read full review »

We cruised during the week of Thanksgiving and had THE BEST TIME OF OUR LIVES as a family. Every detail was amazing, from the free arcade cards delivered to our rooms for our kids, to the guest towels folded into animal shapes. We got an amazing deal through Small World Travel (check them out online). Our family of four cruised for only $1300 total for a 4 day, 3 night cruise to Nassau and Castaway Cay. On chilly days, the crew sprang into action with trays of hot cocoa delivered to everyone. The movie theatre is amazing, the broadway theatre is unbelievable and the shows are true… read full review »

Amazing service onboard the Disney Wonder!  We visit Walt Disney World several times a month as we are Florida Residents.  With all of the time we spend in Disney, we know what to expect as far as Disney's premiere customer service goes.  While we have never been disappointed in the Parks, we were WOWED! on the Cruise Line.  — Our cabin was on the very bottom deck but we were never treated any differently by our cabin stewards or anyone on the ship.  We were treated as though we had paid top dollar for the more expensive cabins.  My best example… read full review »

I have been on the Disney Wonder twice.  Once with my husband and then with a few friends of mine.  Neither time did I take my kids and we were concerned about that because it did seem like it was such a kid oriented cruise.  I KNOW my kids would love it and plan to take them back this year, but it was WONDERFUL for us as well.  — Disney does a wonderful job of separating and keeping the kids occupied.  There is even a separate "serenity beach" for the adults on their island.  The kids are kept very occupied and if you take your kids with you of course you… read full review »

I had never been on a cruise before, so I was a litttle apprehensive. However, from the very start, we were treated first-class all the way! The service was outstanding. All of the staff were so nice and seemed to love their jobs. The ship was immaculate (and I am a germ freak!), the deluxe family stateroom that we had was enough room for my husband, our 4 year old twin boys, my mother and myself. The night time entertainment was top notch (and I grew up in NYC). I have been trying to find something negative to tell our family and friends about our 3 night trip to Nassau and Castaway… read full review »

I went with my daughter, who was just young enough to NOT make it into the 2nd kid's group (Imagineer's Club?) so she wasn't very happy letting mom go off on her own -- that was the only downside. But still, it was a fantastic trip. The entire crew went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. There was ALWAYS something to do, and I didn't feel like they were constantly trying to sell you something. I think all of the crew members knew my daughter by name!! I will say this though... Bingo is alot of fun, and can be EXPENSIVE!!! so, if you think your child will get hooked, don't… read full review »

I went on the Wonder 1.5 years ago.  I was impressed by the friendly staff and cleanliness of the ship.  It was geared towards children but had many activities for adults.  The child care was fabulous.  My child loved it and I had to practically drag her out.  She still shows people how Lilo and Stitch taught her to dance.  Staff was sensitive to children getting lonely for parents and contacted parents by pager any time it was an issue.  The performance staff was great.  I had a chance to meet them out of costume and they are an amazingly friendly and… read full review »

The Disney cruise was eight days of pure fun and magic! The private balcony in the state room allowed us to get away and enjoy privacy and sun on the high seas when we wanted. The sure volume of activites on teh ship allowed us to be social when we wanted to. The Mickey slide at the pool was one of my son'e favorite acitivities, as well as the children's area. Disney's private island, Castaway Cay was incredible! Dining was terrific, even the diningroom became part of the entertainment as the walls in one of the room turned from black and whote cartoon characters to full color through out the… read full review »

I took 3 kids to Disneyworld and then on the Disney Cruise - talk about needing a vacation. The people on the ship were fantastic. The kids all had different clubs to go to, they had a fantastic time, always something for them to do. I missed dinner due to just needing a nap one night, I received a call from my service crew, wanting to know if everything was alright, offering me a later dinner time or to send me room service. When leaving, 2 of my kids left behind items. I called lost and found and the items had been found and Disney mailed them out to us, free of charge. Every day there was… read full review »

Absolutely wonderful trip!!  Enjoyed the ship & Castaway Cay.  Fun, fun, fun!!  I went on cruise with adults, and we still loved it! You don't need kids to enjoy a Disney Cruise.  It was the best cruise I have ever been on!  I wasn't a huge fan of cruises before, but now I can't wait to go on another Disney Cruise!! —  Castaway Cay is the best cruise line owed island ever!  I loved having the Disney caracters everywhere you go! —… read full review »

We decided to go on the 4-night cruise and had a fantastic time.  Disney works hard at keeping the adult areas kid-free and letting the adults enjoy being adults.  While we weren't crazy about Nassau, we absolutely LOVED Disney's private island - Castaway Cay.  Serenity Bay (the adult-only beach) was calm, quiet and a lovely little hideaway.  The entertainment on board was great - Disney quality.  We're already planning our next… read full review »
