This was a second cruise for my husband and I and a first with the kids.  Our first cruise was on a different line and it pales compared to the Disney cruise experience.  Our kids are 4 and 6 and they had a great time.  As soon as we got in the car to come home they asked, "When are we going again?"

We fed the stingrays in Nassau and that was a perfect excursion for young kids.  My youngest was scared to be in the water with them, but she loved watching them from the shore.  My oldest had a blast.  After feeding the stingrays, we were fed lunch and spent the rest of the day hanging out on a beautiful, private, white sand beach.  It was a lovely day.

Castaway Cay was awesome.  My youngest was too young to do any of the excursions, but we had a great time anyway.  We have our own snorkel equipment, so we didn't pay for the excursion.  They have snorkel vests that you can use for free.  We put our youngest in the kids' club on the island for a couple of hours and went snorkeling with our oldest.  It was lots of fun and Disney has placed some interesting things in the sand for you to look at.  Try not to miss the Mickey Mouse statue.  My husband and I love to scuba dive and this snorkeling experience was a great introduction for our son.

On our day at sea, my husband and I put the kids in the kids' club and headed to Palo for brunch.  Oh my gosh!! We were not disappointed.  There was so much food and it was so good.  We were not even hungry until dinner time and we had the late seating.  It was really worth the $10 per person.  After that, we got the kids and took them swimming in the Mickey pool.  Of course, they had a blast.  Later in the afternoon, my husband and I went to the spa to do a Rasul treatment.  This is a do it yourself treatment where you spread different muds onto each other.  They lock you into a steam room and you are all by yourselves.  Needless to say, we had fun.

Overall, our experience was great.  We paid for a room with a window and were upgraded to a room with a balcony.  That was really awesome.  We could only get the late dinner seating, but that worked out fine because we didn't have to rush back from Nassau and Castaway Cay to get ready for dinner.  The kids were so excited to be there that they held up like troopers.  They did fall asleep at dinner the first night, but that's because we gave them Dramamine because the seas were a little rough.  They loved meeting the characters, getting free ice cream and swimming.  The fireworks show was awesome and the other shows were really good, too.  We liked it so much that we want go go on a week long Disney Cruise next time.
