When many people hear Disney, they often think of overpriced, kid vacations.  When it comes to Disney Cruise Line, they would be far from the truth.  This past November marked my 5th cruise with Disney, and I have another planned for September.  I find from the moment you exit your car and are checked in through the port, the "magic" Disney Cruise Line claims to have comes to fruition.

Disney Cruise Line (DCL) has two ships, The Disney Magic and The Disney Wonder, both similar in size based out of Port Canavral, FL.   They differ only in decor and the cruises they offer.  The Magic, sails...

Disney has certainly kept its status up! The Disney Cruiseline is one of the most devoted and marvelous cruiselines out there. From the hardworking staff (I think the bathrooms are cleaned literally every 15 minutes!), kind castmembers, and of course friendly characters, the Disney Cruiseline has kept the Disney name alive. The Disney cruiseline is fit for families and couples alike. There are equal number of activities for both parents, children, and families. The free "Day care" (Children hang out place where parents can drop their kids off in the hands of responsible castmembers and enjoy their... review »

My husband and I decided to take a family trip on the Disney Cruise Line, and it was one of the best decisions we ever made.

We were greeted with a warm welcome, the crew members were all very nice and helpful. On the second night of our cruise my husband ended up with a really bad toothache and didn't make it to dinner, but our waiter was so nice that he delivered right to my room while I was with the kids.

The atmosphere of the cruise is very cheerful and lively.... there are a lot of things for the kids to do like go to the movie theater to see Disney movies, walk around the ship and get autographs,...

This was our second cruise on the Magic, but our first to the eastern Caribbean.  We chose this destination because we would have more days at sea.  We love the relaxing atmosphere of being at sea and all the choices you have for activities.  The Disney Magic is magical.  We chose the Disney Cruise Line because we wanted a family oriented cruise, and we were not interested in any gambling (they do not have casinos).  All the staff on the cruise line are dedicated staff, caring about your comfort and very tolerant of children.  I witnessed several children throwing items to each other from...

Excellent service and food (quick service), good Disney shows. Amenities are great with Disney touches everywhere, e.g. H2O brand toiletories, hidden Mickeys all over the ship. Table dining is average with impressive restaurant environment/atmosphere but not-too-tasty food. The Spa on board is too crowded and massage tables not comfy. Didn't provide post-sail membership as promised and thus discouraged me to sail on her again. Didn't provide the same level of excellent service to international customers, not culture-sensitive.

We went for our anniversary and had the most fun ever. when we got to CastAway Key they told us there was a little private beach for adults only. We thought , "Yeah, sure, untill the kids start coming in." But there was a cast member stationed at the entry and they told a woman with a child in a stroller that the baby was not allowed on the beach. The lady argued that the child would stay in the stroller asleep. but the cast member did not let the kid on the beach. it was so noce to have the no kids policy enforced. They had food available at reasonable times. We didn't have kids shrieking all... review »

If could go again and again I sure would!!  My oldest along with his cousins had a wonderfull time in the free kids area .  Unfortunately kids under 3 or not potty trained you had to pay quite a bit for daycare.

The private island was really nice and had a lot of great amenities.

The ship had really excelent food the servers were excelent and great with the kids (I have been on a few cruises and they were the best) It was nice to have such a variety for the kids to eat.

The DIsney Cruise was fantastic! If you have children, they can be checked into a program early in the morning and picked up late at night, OR you can join them for different activities during the day! Parents are given a beeper in case your child needs you for an emergency. This gives parents the opportunity to have quiet, private alone-time! There are incredible restaurants on board and you rotate to a new restaurant every night, but your waiter travels WITH you, so they get to know your likes and dislikes. They were great at encouraging both our children and ourselves to try new things. If you...

The Disney Magic cruise ship was awesome.  That was the best vacation that we have ever been on.  My husband and four children went with my brohter and his family along with my mother.  We had three balcony rooms side by side.  Our rooms were very clean all of the time.  There was so much to do for everyone.  The activities for the kids kept them so busy.  We had beepers for when the kids wanted us to get them and it would tell us where they were and why they needed us.  I never worried about my kids on this vacation.  They kept them safe.   The kids would eat dinner with their crew... review »

The Disney Cruise is the cruise of all cruises.  The children will love it because they can find their freedom with the different kid zones.  There are activities all day and all night long for them.  I addition as a parent you can have a great time also with and without the children.  There is a pool, bar and a restaurant that is for adults only.

You can also share your meals with your children in the many restaurants and heat until you drop.  The food in the restaurants is great and delicious as well as the service that you receive from the wait staff.  The wait staff travels with you...

I sailed on the Disney Cruise Line and I had a great time.  I didn't need to worry about my children because they were monitored by cruise staff.  Just before boarding the ship, they took a family photo.  When we boarded, the cruise director asked me my last name and announced (all over the ship), "Disney Cruise Lines would like to welcome the Hendricks family!"  That made us feel very welcomed.  We went to our rooms, did a 15 minute safety trek, and then the fun was on.  The teenagers had their activities, my 12 year old had his own activities, and my husband and I got to finally relax. ... review »

This really was a fabulous cruise.  I was a little hesitant with the Disney cruise because I thought it would be overloaded with kids and stupid kid activities with not much for the adults.  I was so wrong.  There were plenty of "adult-only" activities and I rarely saw any kids running around accept for the family pool.  There was plenty to do if you wanted to be involved with the activities, but the room was fabulous for just laying around and doing nothing but ordering the (free!) room service.  I loved this and even took my parents on my second cruise.  My mom is definitely not a cruise... review »

Disney Cruise Lines are amazing! My husband and I have now been on 3 Disney Cruises, and we are planning to continue using Disney Cruise Lines in the future. Disney puts an incredible amount of effort into every aspect of the cruise lifestyle. The food is fabulous, the accomodations are exquisite, and the entertainment is top notch. We made so many memories aboard the Disney Magic and we hope to make many more! We recently added to our family, and we cannot wait to take another cruise with a little one! Also castaway Cay, Disney's private island, makes the entire cruise worth the price just... review »

This is just the best family cruise.  All the Charactors are on board.  The Kids Club for the little ones keeps them busyall day if you want, & does great activities.  The pools are great.  The stay at the Disney Island was a super day, gorgeous beach, even one for just the adults.  No night life after midnight, so you can get plenty of sleep.  Great on board activities.  Food is wonderful.  Your servers follow you from restaurant to restaurant, so you know them.
