If you think the Disney cruise is for families only, think again. I just returned from a cruise to the eastern caribbean and it was first class all the way. If you hate kids, even you would like it as the kids are in "Camp" all day and have their own special "swimming hole" along with another family pool.
The food is first class as are the accomodations. The staff is great, helpful and fun. Disney sees to it that you have a wonderful cruise. Cleanliness is next to godliness on the ship. They are always cleaning. Dining rooms are different each night. There are 3 different themes, one in each.
Several theme parties were held and props were given out to wear, i.e. Pirates of the carribean - we had bandana hats. Buffets were all theme oriented as was the entertainment. We were there over halloween and there was also a costume party and everyone there really got into it. There was even the entire Adams Family, who did a great job on their costumes.
The staterooms are ample for 2-3 people. (We had an inside room, first time for me) and it was very comfortable. Didn't miss the window as we spent little time in the room. Many samples, such as shampoo, hand lotion, etc. also. Good quality.
Our days were filled with things to do when at sea. Many demonstrations, movies, games, shopping. I enjoyed the cooking demonstration (everyone got a sample of what was cooked, even wine to go with it. This was held every afternoon. Different every day. Lots of fun and very informative. The Chef was excellent and well informed.
Ample time was had at each port. We got caught in the hurricane so could not go to the Disney Island and ended up in Nassau instead. Good though, as we got to go into another island port. Nice perk. Boat is very stable and we did not feel the hurricane much, just a little pitching which is expected in high seas. The Captain did a good job navigating the boat through it all. All in all, it was a wonderful trip and while on the boat, we booked a cruise for next year, (which is all sold out now, by the way). I highly recommend this cruise to anyone, young or old.
