This food is just silly. Aristocats wet food... ridiculous!

4

I am a fan of Disney, just like most other people and I decided to buy a can of Disney's Aristocats Cat food because it was funny to me. Unfortunately, my cat hated it. She sniffed it and then refused to eat any of it. So, for me, it was a complete waste of money. I realized that it is kind of stupid. It was a genius move on Disney's part. They paid someone to produce not so great cat food for them, stuck a label on it with the Disney logo and said it was the food for "Aristocats"! Perfect way to make money. How many people bought this food because of the label? I am betting all of them bought the food because of the label. Do your research about foods for your pets. It is not a good idea to buy food simply for a label. I am to blame because I did it too, but I will never do it again. Quality of Ingredients This food is not made with fresh ingredients and it is certainly not for cats with sensitive stomachs. Flavor Selection There are different flavors to choose from, but that is not what buying cat food is about. You want food that is healthy and good for your feline!

My Cats Love It!

5

We were trying to change up our cats' food by supplementing their nightly feeding of dry food, with some nutrition packed, meaty, wet food, for breakfast. We tried lots of expensive, yet ultra-healthy cat foods first. Our cats just didn't like them at best, and threw them up, at worst. Finally, my husband came across Aristocats Cat Food at our local supermarket. He closely scrutinized the ingredients, and after passing his test, he decided to try it. Our cats loved it! They just scarfed it down, and the best part is they didn't throw it back up! It's a really cool bonus that it's very inexpensive, as well. Quality of Ingredients While the ingredients aren't quite as pure as some of your top of the line organic cat foods, it really has a good set of nutrient dense ingredients, without a lot of fillers. Flavor Selection This is one of the reasons we started getting Aristocat Cat Food. They have a nice variety of meats, listed as a first ingredient, in their ingredient lists. The variety of meats, ensures both better nutrition, and variety of flavors. The bottom line with the flavors though, is that my cats like them!

Disney Aristocats Cat Food

Our cats all three of them didn't even eat this food. It was very compact and hard to even get out of the can. There certainly wasn't much gravy. The price was decent but not great I was disappointed I felt that a product backed with the Disney name on it would of been a better quality. The product is only a little bit above average in all areas. They smell extremely strong also. Some improvement in variety and definitely the quality of the overall product I would be willing to try it again if they would make some much needed changes Even an improvement in the size of the can for the price would be good. My cats are not that particular about wet food but when they wouldn't do anything except smell it I know it needs some improvements at least for this fur family. Quality of Ingredients The quality on the label of the ingredients was pretty good as far as canned cat food goes. But the quality of the food in the can was only fair. It is a pate which is fine but it was so dry I could barely get it to come out of the can. Flavor Selection This was still only barely above average. It did have some variety but not a whole lot to choose from. I personally feel even the Petsmart brand of cat food offers more variety. There is a basic selection at the stores I shop. Chicken or several types of fish. More variety like several types of chicken styles or types add in some turkey too would be nice. And what about beef Even more selection in the fish, there is only salmon and tuna none with combinations and also what about whitefish too. There are so many other products who offer the same average price and have larger cans and more varieties.

A favorite for my girl

Our cat Foxy loves Aristocats' seafood varieties. Some of those flavors are Cod/Sole/Shrimp, flaked tuna, tuna, flaked trout, and ocean whitefish and tuna. The food looks really good and has a nice texture. There are actually shrimp in the Cod/Sole/Shrimp can. Other flavors include Chicken, Turkey, Beef, Liver and Chicken, and more. We buy them for about 49 cents a can at Kroger. It is a little pricey for a 3oz can of cat food, but it's one of the few that she will eat. Quality of Ingredients Contains nice pieces of meat and real shrimp Flavor Selection There are several seafood, poultry, and beef varieties.

Appeals more to my younger cat than my older boy

3

My cats are split on this one, and so am I. While my younger girl seems to really like it and will eat any of the varieties my older cat often will walk away instead of eating it. The food doesn't have a strong smell or seem to be very heavy, both of my cats have eaten it before with no problems, it is more an issue of the taste not being something my older cat is interested in. I'm not sure if that's because of the lack of smell though since by sight alone it looks about the same as any other canned wet cat food and it's overly oily or dry; just average. The price is okay but the size of the cans are a little small, so really you're paying a little more than what it's worth in my opinion since it just seems to be an average brand of food. Quality of Ingredients Seems about middle of the road with quality; better than the really cheap brands but not as good as the higher priced ones. Flavor Selection A few basic flavors in the standard range, nothing all that exciting or different than other cat food brands.

A Toss Up

Our new kitty prefers canned cat food, but it's much more expensive than the dry cat food, so I've been trying different brands to see how she will react to it, and I wanted to be sure they didn't bother her tummy. You always have to be careful when changing your pets diet. I purchased four types of DIsney's Aristocats Cat Food, and I was surprised to Disney's name on a cat food! It is distributed by Embassy International, Inc. Veterinarians have always told me to look for pet food that had real meat as the first two or three ingredients, and Disney's Aristocats meets that criteria. I purchased the Beef Dinner, Turkey & Giblets Dinner, Flaked Tuna Dinner and Flaked Trout Dinner. These are considered "gourmet" food for cats and kittens. Not all cat foods can be fed to kittens, so I felt comfortable with these. They come in a small 3 ounce can with a ring flip top that's easy to remove, even with the arthritis in my thumb. The texture of these foods are between a shredded meat and a pate, and my kitten will sit at her bowl and eat almost the entire can in one sitting, and this is rare for her. Real meat and fish are the first several ingredients, but one ingredient puzzled me, and that is "animal digest". I looked it up on the internet and this isn't really an ingredient that I am comfortable feeding to my cat. Although she loves it, I will look for cat foods that don't contain this ingredient. Quality of Ingredients Contains animal digest, and I don't feel comfortable with my cat eating it Flavor Selection Quite a few to choose from, including fish, meat and chicken

My kitten loves this cat food!!

My kitten loves this food!! She had been eating another brand of canned cat food but started turning her nose up at it and not eating it.  I came across the Aristocats cat food at my local Kroger and decided to try it since it was on sale.  It comes in many flavor combinations, including one with pheasant.  I have to say, it sure makes my kitten happy.

My finicky felines have embraced Aristocats as a real treat

5

I love Aristocats, and so do my cats! Several years ago, I tried to interest my now-8-year-old Siamese in wet food, so I tried giving him various flavors of Fancy Feast. He took a couple nibbles the first couple days, but then the novelty wore off and he rejected it. So I gave up on him. But, a couple weeks ago, I got a new kitten, and I decided to see if he could be taught to like wet food. At the store, the Fancy Feast was pretty expensive, while Aristocats cans were only 39 cents each! So I figured why not, I got a few flavors to try. Ironically, the kitten at first took no interest in the Aristocats. But my older cat sure did! He ate up his portion and the kitten's portion the first several nights. Then the kitten decided that if my older cat thought the Aristocats was so wonderful, he might as well try it. And he liked it. So now both my cats enjoy Aristocats in the morning and evening as a treasured snack. In fact, they even "fight" over who gets to start eating it first. I highly recommend Aristocats to those who may have tried Fancy Feast or one of the other higher-priced brands and struck out. Maybe Aristocats will turn your own finicky felines into wet-food fans!

Used to be quite good, but now quality is very poor.

Disney Aristocats Cat Food used to be a really good cat food. All three of my cats loved it. I bought several 24 can cases during the past several years, and all were of good quality. But the latest I bought is no where near as good. (Fall 2009)   When I fed my cats the latest batch, I wondered why they picked at it and left most of it on the plate.  So I used my fingers to inspect the food closely.  I checked several cans of all three flavors in the case.  There were many little bits of bone and big hard lumpy chunks.  I had a few cans left over from the last time to compare--they were fine.  My guess would be the company has switched to a cheaper supplier than they used to have.

great product

This product is great. I bought it in Downtown Disney at a shop for pets. My cats loved this food so much. Next time I am down at Disney I will have to purchas more. My cats eat every bite. It was not runny like some cat food product. The texture was just great for my little cats. The only thing I wish was different was its size if it could have came in a bigger quantity then it would have been even better. As for the cats, they seemed to enjoy it very well. It was going in a blink of an eye. They seemed to enjoy it so I will assume it was tasty. With this said, Disney is a great company that continues to produce great products. Branching out to different ideas of income is very talented on there part. So there is no wonder they wouldnt produce such superb cat food products such as this one. With this said, the cats really loved it and its different flavor combination gave then a new flavor to taste. This kept them from getting bored with the same flavor each day. Also, my kitten enjoyed it too. There is just one little problem with it...I ran out and my cats want more. Overall a great product!
