I live in a small mobile home that was made before dishwashers and I just had to have a dishwasher. Portable floor models was out of the question because I didn't want to push a dishwasher back and forth around my kitchen (and I had no room to store a portable floor model).
This Koldfront had the best reviews I could find for a portable counter top dishwasher. And, I'm not disapointed.

We purchased the stainless steel tub version of the Maytag Quiet Series 300 based on recommendations of sales people and the Maytag name. What a mistake! GE Nautilus Dishwasher
We've had our Nautilus Dishwasher for 8 years. From day one it was noisy, but I was just glad to have a dishwasher (last house didn't have one). We have to turn it on when everyone goes to bed because you can't have a conversation with it on or watch tv in the other room. We bought this dishwasher during a kitchen remodel last year. It was the one appliance my husband really wanted and the one that he picked out. He got it completedly right.

LG dishwasher
I got all new appliances. Went with LG. While I'm happy with the oven and the fridge., the dishwasher is worthless. I have to wash every single glass, every single time. I've started simply washing the glasses and mugs by hand. There is always dried on "gunk" in the botton and insides of the glasses. I've tried everything, rinse aid, loading VERY carefully, loading only half full...it doesn't matter what I do. This dishwasher is POORLY designed. Will not buy any LG appliance again.
Whirlpool Dishwasher - "Quiet Partner 2" Built-in
I wish I had read some review before buying this pice of junk! Whirlpool has done well in the past for us, so when we needed a new dishwasher we didn't hesitate to get the Quiet Partner II.
It is quieter than our old Maytag, but that is all I can say positive about it! Dishes often do not come out clean, especially if you put too much in ("too much" means not leaving lots of empty space). Soap is left on the glasses -- fill them up with water and we can see the bubbles floating on top! We have even tried different deteregents. Now we are in the habit of just rinsing out the "clean"...

These detergents are more alkaline than the human hand can generally take, but since a GE dishwasher requires no human contact to clean dishes, they are fine for use within the cleaning cycle. i've had my gu2300xtv model for a month now.
everything was great for the first 2 weeks. i loved the ample size, the silverware in the door and the cleaning ability. it wasn't extremely quiet, but still acceptable.
suddenly, all my dishes had a white powdery film. the tech came out and told me how these units operate in order to maintain their energy star rating.
the internal heater does not kick in until the main wash. so, you have to run the tap water to the ideal temp before the unit starts. this is why the delayed timer is not useful unless you're willing to install a mini water heater...

This dishwasher has never ever cleaned any of my dishes. It is the worst applicance on the market. What a complete waste of money. Not only does the washer not work but LG refused to do anything about it. I wanted my money back but NOOOOO. They don't honor their warentees. I would never ever ever by anything that is LG again. I hope the word spreads.
