Service Plan snatched away with upgrade

I've been a happy Dish Network customer for 6 years and then we upgraded to the DVR. It took months to get the rebate to our account - we were told we hadn't provided the proper information when it was sent in, which was a lie. Then the DVR's hard drive became corrupted, losing all our saved shows. We went through the process to fix it and then it would do it again. We called and found out the charge was going to be $99 for a service call. I told them I had a service plan that gave me free service and THEN I was told that with the equipment upgrade that was no longer offered. I explained I was never told that and I was told "I'm sorry" - I was told "I'm sorry" so many times that night that their words are stilling ringing in my head. They did tell me I could repurchase a service agreement and the cost for a service call would then become $29. Gee, thanks Dish Newtork. We finally got someone to make the call free of charge - and as luck would have it, we had more problems within the 90 day period so the next service call is free also.

If I had been told that I would lose my orignal agreement, I would never have changed. I asked to go back to the original equipment but they can't do it. So we are stuck for 11 more months with equipment that seems to be crap so who knows how much money they will wind up making on us.
