I guess it's better than cable, but not by much

expecting good, fair service, Budget-Conscious, not rich, a comparison shopper, Open-minded, a person who enjoys quality, appreciative of good service

I've been a Dish Network subscriber for over a year. They are far less expensive than cable in my area. It has to be a pretty bad rainstorm to lose signal, we've maintained signal through hurricanes. However, the first receiver box we purchased was faulty, and it took several months for Dish to diagnose and attempt to correct the problem. Even though we had called them numerous times regarding the exact same problem, they tried to charge us to replace the receiver, because the warranty had finally expired by the time they (thought they) figured out the problem. We received the replacement receiver, yet we are having the same problem, and Dish has been....reluctant....to help. We've been bouced betweeen the engineering department and customer service more times than I can count by now, and all we've gotten has been the runaround.
