My three boys spend hours playing with this they love building it. they will even try to build it different ways for the marbles to go down.

I have had this toy as long as I can remember.My version is slightly different in that it primary colors (which I think is a bit more fun.)But otherwise appears the same .I bring this toy to babysitting and it is the only toy loved by 4 year old to teenagers.It teaches corporation patience and problem solving.My one and old complaint is that after well over a decade of wear and tear my parts have begun brittle and have started breaking.But I've certainlly gotten our money's worth.I hope this new one is a tad more durable if so it will be perfect!

We got the Discovery Toys Marble Works set primarily because I played with them as a kid and spent hours of fun building and rebuilding fun towers. My son is now 4 years old and is at the perfect age for enjoying Marble Works, so we looked at several on the market. The Discovery Toys version seemed sturdier than others out there (as far as thickness of plastic) and I knew that my mom still had my childhood set and would still bring it out for when we visit, so it lasted the years. So we bought the same and have not been disappointed! We have spent HOURS upon HOURS playing with it, and it is now instilled in a basket in our living room. It encourages creative play and my kids sit back with excitement as they test out new runs and then want to build them as dramatically as possible. It encourages team and whole family play as we work together to build different designs. I would say it is best for the age 4-8 crowd, but my husband and I enjoy it too!

Marble Works is one of my favorite Discovery Toys! This toy is great for busy little boys or thoughful little girls, any child loves this toy! Marble Works comes in a fairly large box that is very sturdy for all of the roughing up it often gets. The plastic handle makes it easy to carry around and store on the shelf when you are finished. Marble Works is a great toy for building skills, creativity, motor skills and more. Children are able to grasp the many pieces and figure out how to build and stack. They learn to strategize by figuring out where each piece must be placed in order to make the marbles go through certain obstacles. The pieces are bright and colorful, children can learn about their colors and even patterns as they are building. I would highly recommend this toy for use as a family activity or individual play. This toy keeps my daughter busy for hours at a time, I use it as a reward for good work and behavior.

On the picture for this marble works toy, you can see that the mom is playing with this toy as much as the boy is. That's not true in our household. The adults end up playing with it MORE! :) This is seriously such a fun, creative toy that will be hours of entertainment for the whole family. When we get it out, it tends to be the kids that start to play with it first, but quickly the adults get in on the action and sometimes (OK, a lot of the time) tend to take over the marble set. It has all sorts of pieces that attach to each other to make one big marble obstacle course. The only downside that I can see is that the marbles can be hard to keep track of. Sometime they roll away from the set and you have to hunt them down. If you have little tiny babies around, that can be scary, so we just play it with the older kids and adults. Then we have a little cloth drawstring bag to stick all of the marbles in when we're done playing.

This is our favorite of the Discovery Toys and we have a LOT of Discovery Toys. All the kids love this toy. Part of the fun is putting together a complex track and then sending all the marbles down to see which marble will finish first. You can even have a prize for the child with the winning marble! It's colorful and lots and lots of fun. My only complaint is that the are sooo many pieces. We keep this in a large rubbermaid. I get it down to play with the kids then we put it all away when we are finished. I have a baby and don't want him to choke on the marbles. It's the perfect toy for rainy days stuck inside with nothing to do. I like that it encourages creativity and motor skills. I also love that kids of all ages enjoy this toy. It helps the kids to play together and I really feel like I get my money's worth out of it! This is a classic toy and I see it being in our home for a very long time.

Marble works is a toy with endless uses. we have used this toy to teach colors to our youngest while the older ones are playing. im thankful for the many colors used in this product. also this is for sharpining fine motor skills. the parts fit together easily enough for a 2 year old, encouraging them with there fine motor skills. We love the challange of this game and the fact you can put it  together over and over diffrent ways each time. our whole family enjoys this. we have 5 children ages 0-1-4-7-11 and they all can play together each working on diffrent things. the baby just sucks on the pieces of course. i would recomend this to any family that enjoys playing together and creating fun new obstical courses for the marbles to run through. i also recoment the add on objects that can bring this toy to a new level. this is a bit pricey but well worth every penny, when it last to the grand kids!!

Discovery Toys' Marble Works was a Christmas present....and we have been playing with it ever since!! Two of my sons' friends parents liked it so much, they went out and got it!!I really like open ended toys for my boys to play with; and this fits the bill. There are so many possible configerations that it keeps the boys coming back for more. My three (and a half) year old just got to really understand the concept of it (after playing with his big brother for 6 months.) The only downside is that there are marbles everywhere! Behind the couch, under the dog's toy box, behind the t.v cabinet.....and the marbles are smaller than your average marble so regular marbles get stuck in the tubes....but otherwise, our very FAVORITE toy! We have had it for almost a year and it still gets a lot of action. I would like to see some more components that could be purchased for the set. Some other marble mazes have some neat parts that our maze is not compatable with.
