As a stay-at-home mom, I am fortunate enough to be able to be my children's primary care giver so I was more than a little apprehensive about sending my child off to preschool.  I was so relieved to find that there is a wonderful nationally accredited preschool that allows me to continue my involvement in my kids education while allowing them to develop their social skills.  Discovery Parent-Child Preschool is a cooperative preschool that is run entirely by parents.  The only two paid employees are the two teachers.  As a working class parent you get to run art, cooking, and science projects...

Discovery Parent Child Preschool is wonderful.  It's such a blessing to be in an environment full of parents and teachers who share similar values, care about your child so much and watch my children grow in so many ways.

I toured several preschools before deciding on Discovery.  From the moment I walked in the door, it just felt right.  I knew this was where we we should be and I haven't regretted it for a minute.  My oldest, now in Kindergarten, still talks about preschool with a twinkle in his eye and a smile (I'm not kidding!).

Great school, great people, great environment!

When I was looking for a pre-school I went and looked at so many. When I walked in the door at Discovery Parent-Child Preschool I felt like I was at home. It was warm and very child friendly. The teachers are great and the program has enabled my older child to do so well in Kindergarten. The play area can not be beat! It is great for imaginary play and for small and big kids a like. This really is the best place on earth for your pre-schooler!

As a California credentialed K-6 teacher, I was looking for a preschool school that would provide a safe, caring environment for my children to grow and develop physically and mentally, but I also wanted my children have plenty of time to play and make their own choices.  I found what I was looking for at Discovery Preschool!  Once children begin elementary school, much of their school day is teacher-driven.  At Discovery, the caring teachers and parents are there to help guide children but also allow children to "discover," explore, and experience what it's like to make some decisions on their... read full review »

Discovery is a wonderful school that changed my whole family's life forever.  We have grown and learned so much from Discovery's two dedicated teachers and its wonderful supportive parent community, where no matter what your particular issue or problem is with your own kids, you can be sure someone else has been through it too!  My two children were so wonderfully prepared for kindergarten in every way.  (Our elementary kindergarten teacher said she can always spot the very well-prepared co-op kids who transition so well into kindergarten!)  The co-op demands can be high, but nowhere else will... read full review »
