There's no two ways about it: Discovery HD's broadcast of the BBC series "planet earth" is the best thing on TV. Its also probably the best HD footage I've ever seen.

read full review »My mom told me about this 11 part series back when it originally aired on HD TV. She has an HD TV so it must have looked fantastic. Planet earth has to be the greatest nature series of all time. The camera work is amazing. If you can watch it in HD do it, it makes it that much better.
